Testing All of the tests listed below have been used to meet the New Hampshire home education annual evaluation requirement. The state assessment test administered by your local school district can also be used; you should probably inform them at the time of notification if you plan to use that option. If you are interested, we have put together a sample cover letter for parents to send with your test results to the participating agency. It is simply a suggestion or model. Please use your own judgment to decide what best suits your needs.

Offers Iowa Test of Basic Skills and Cognitive Abilities Test, Stanford Achievement Test, Otis Lennon School Ability Test, Metropolitan Achievement Test. They also provide practice tests, personality profiles, writing evaluations, and career guidance. Some tests require a college degree to administer or other special requirements. This system provides graphical results in color, cumulative comparisons from year to year, and a detailed analysis of strengths and weaknesses in each area of the test. In addition to the original 1970 norms, we also have our own norms, the Catforms Percentiles, which are updated annually from the tests we have on file. The Catforms Percentiles are not a national norm, but are useful in comparing your students' performance with others from Christian schools and home schools today. You do NOT have to be enrolled in their program to order the test. The cost for each CAT is $20. They also have a service to help with curriculum decisions based on test results. This is $20 extra. Allow 2-3 weeks after ordering to receive the test. You will then have two months to administer the test and return it for scoring. Results will be returned in 2-3 weeks.

Offers the CAT/5 ($35) A $4.00 shipping and handling charge applies to all test orders.You have two weeks from the time you receive the tests to return them for scoring. The PASS test was developed specifically for homeschoolers. Parents administer the untimed test (math, reading and language sections) at home; no degree required. Results returned in 2-3 weeks show your child’s overall achievement and include suggestions for reaching goals in each assessment area. Home Education & Family Services (HEFS) - P.O. Achievement tests, specific academic area testing, and special needs testing are administered one-on-one. Nationally normed individually standardized achievement tests are given in one day and written results are prepared that same week "in house". When parents receive the results in person, they have the opportunity to discuss observations, curriculum choices and important topics of concern. Will administer testing to homeschool groups. The CTBS tests all academic areas including Reading, Language Arts, Spelling, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reference Skills. The Gates-MacGinitie Reading Inventory tests reading skills, vocabulary development, and comprehension only. Tests can be administered by parents. CTBS $50, Gates-MacGinitie Reading Inventory $25.
