Classes in Clay and Stained Glass

Art Clay at Studio 550
Open to ages 5 and up, Studio 550 offers home schooling students a chance to play in clay. The class will cover both wheel work and hand building, basic fundamental techniques and a self-guided personal project. Studio 550 also has after-school children's classes divided by age group and monthly parent and kid workshops. For older children we also have special topic adult evening classes. Taught by Monica Leap, BFA in Ceramics, a Masters in City Planning. She has lived and worked as an artist-in-residence in Maine for a year. She has extensive experience teaching clay classes to a variety of ages through her experience with the Mudmobile, an outreach program that brought a clay lesson to area schools that did not have their own program.

Art Stained Glass at Studio 550
Open to mature students ages 12 and up. There will be glass shards and safety is important. Learn the basics of stained glass, make sun catchers, windows, and a self-guided personal project.
